this one was my entrie for the master and servant competition here at cgtalk on 2005. so there's a tread with all the information and milestones about the making of.
with this piece I was very happy about the tree and the dead lord engraved into it, also the light effects was quite a good achievement for my skills in that period.
however as the the time has passed I've noticeed also the problems about this work... the composition mainly: the tree on the back and the men on the front seems to be right on the same plane! probably I've done a bad use of lights and shadows here making all flats instead of separing planes!

However I still see this as one of my best 2d work for now or one of my most favourite
